2022 Independence Day Parade

Writer's picture: Georgie GouldGeorgie Gould

The Independence Day Parade of Churches is an annual tradition started in 1831 by Samuel Lawson. This year, nearly 20 members of the Lawson family including direct descendants of the parade founder participated in the parade. (Learn more about the history.)

Congratulations to the 21st Ward Fourth of July Association and special thanks to Linda Marie Bell for all the hard work ensuring this local tradition endures.
